Dog-Friendly

With ten acres of forest to explore, Ashton Woods is a very dog-friendly place.

Our own four cheerful golden retrievers will greet you—we even named the property and the rooms after two of our beloved pets. In fact, if you don’t like dogs or are allergic to pets, this may not be the best place for you to stay.

But if you are anything like us, you appreciate finding a premium place to unwind that accepts your four-legged kids without restrictions. In fact we warmly welcome well-mannered dogs who play nicely with others.sleepy-pup

dog-treats

We offer dog beds, organic dog treats, water and food bowls, as well as plenty of open space for you and your dog to roam freely. There is even direct access to additional parks and trails from the property. We want your dog to have as much fun at Ashton Woods as you do.

dogs-on-the-move

Before you consider bringing your dog, we have a few requests and expectations:

•    All dogs must be friendly and get along with people and other dogs. If your dog is aggressive around other dogs, then they should be leashed at all times when not in your room.
•    If your dog is initially shy around other dogs, we will certainly honor that and hold our dogs back. We understand it can be a little intimidating to be rushed by a fluffy pack of enthusiastic goldens, no matter how loving they might be.
•    Once in your room, we ask that your dog DOES NOT SLEEP on the comforter. If you must have your dog on the bed, then please use the dog throw we provide. No exceptions.
•    Regarding the floors, we ask that you extend the same common sense you would at home when your dog’s paws are muddy or wet—please wipe them off at the door.

We do charge a one-time $40 pet fee, regardless of the duration of your stay, your dog’s size or the number of dogs you bring. The fee simply is so we can send all the bed covers to be dry-cleaned, so the next dog guest does not smell yours. This ensures a perfect experience for every guest and canine alike.
