Explore the historic Norwegian community of Poulsbo, within minutes of the island, or visit Olympic National Park (bottom), the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend (below) or the Port Madison Indian Reservation. Nearby Seattle offers still another experience—a vibrant waterfront, museums, shopping, restaurants, the Pacific Science Center, major league sports—and, of course, the Space Needle. You can leave your car on the island and simply walk on the ferry for a no-hassle experience.
